Body understood as human power is complemented not with soul but with will and intellect.

However, body can mean the material part of a human being, comprising (a) the body in the above sense and (b1) the material aspect of the intellect; soul can mean his immaterial part, comprising (c) the will and (b2) the immaterial aspect of the intellect.

This sense of “soul” is what remains of a human being after his physical death.

Further, soul can at times mean “humanity” as the nature or essence of men and is complemented not with body but with spirit which is personality (character + self) and acts which are pursuit and enjoyment of narrow happiness.
