Ex-Twitter CEO Dick Costolo tweeted:
Me-first capitalists who think you can separate society from business are going to be the first people lined up against the wall and shot in the revolution.
What revolution is he talking about exactly? A socialist revolution where the kulaks, or businessmen as the case may be, will be liquidated as a class?
He must mean that capitalists should try to buy off the revolutionaries in hopes of, through faithful service to socialism, escaping execution and death.
That drive might be what explains the leftism of the tech giants. They are afraid that the communists will take power and so kowtow to them hoping to survive once communism arrives.
I must say this seems irrational. Why not throw their money at anti-communist causes instead? Are they really so desperate and convinced capitalism has no future?
