Tom Woods makes excellent arguments against war; in particular, he points out wittily:
Especially culpable are the so-called conservatives who claim to distrust government propaganda —
and yes, they’re indeed very sound on the milk subsidies question —
but who can’t ape that Pentagon press release fast enough.
I’d take issue with this, however. If conservatives really do oppose subsidizing milk, then why haven’t they long ago repealed the subsidies?
Maybe they occasionally talk about free markets, but they never do anything to promote them, even when in power — even in fact when owning all three of the House, Senate, and White House.
Actions speak louder than words; hence in reality, in their heart of hearts, conservatives do not believe in freedom, even something so easily defensible as free market in dairy.
They are passive and listless leftists’ bitches, that’s all.
